Hi! I’m Samara Stern – Toronto-born, LA-based, improv-trained, and deeply committed to the bit, eh?

I star in the award-winning series Wholesome Foods I Love You… Is That Okay? alongside Jenny Raven (Kim’s ConvenienceDesignated Survivor) and Daniel De Santo (Mean Girls). The series streamed on Amazon Prime in the US and UK, screened at multiple web festivals, earned me an Indie Series Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy, and won Best Ensemble Cast at Seoul Webfest.

I’ve also had the chance to work on projects including Saint Evans with Josh Vokey (Orphan Black), Manhattan Undying with Luke Grimes (Yellowstone), and In Between Dreams with Melanie Scrofano (Wynonna Earp) and Nathan Mitchell (The Boys).

I’ve studied with esteemed acting coach Howard Fine and at Upright Citizens Brigade.

I taught at The Second City, where I graduated from their Longform Improv Conservatory. My dog says I’m the best improv partner he’s ever had (or he’s hungry – hard to say).

I have also written sketch comedy, short films, and features because apparently acting alone wasn’t enough.

When I’m not acting, I’m swimming in the ocean, laughing too loudly, or teaching kids (“No Jack, glue is not a snack”).
